Where there is Parish Life, there is the opportunity to experience fellowship and to learn more about God’s love for us through one another. Parish Life depends on committee members and parishioners to help carry out the activities that occur all year long.
Our church offers many opportunities for fellowship. Parish Life sponsors Wednesday evening suppers from September to May. On Sundays after the 8:00 am and 10:15 am services, Coffee with Friends provides a time for informal conversation and companionship.
Feast With Friends is a dinner group that meets every other month from October to May. It is an excellent way to meet new people and to enjoy fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere away from the church.
Our first event of the year, the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and bingo party, is always very popular and great fun for all ages. Other Parish Life events, which are always well attended and extremely popular, are the Ascension Day Steak Dinner, the Pentecost Picnic, the late summer Ice Cream Social, the September Sunday School Kickoff covered dish dinner, our fabulous All Saint’s Day Barbeque, and our Thanksgiving Eve Turkey Dinner.
Please be with us. One of the most basic manifestations of Christian community is hospitality and table fellowship, following Christ’s own practice. For more information about any the Parish Life activity, contact the vestry Parish Life liaison or Lay Ministry Coordinator Barbara Brock.
